Andi's Angle Archives: January 2000

When I first sat down to write my last article of 1999, I began a sappy sounding look back at the last 10 years.  Then I decided that the Singles are not a bunch of sentimentalists.  The group is ever changing, ever growing, and ever full of fun.  In the spirit of great challenges and good fun, I have listed several memorable “experiences” of the Singles in the past years.  You, the reader, have to figure out the year they happened.  All were mentioned in past newsletters, but that’s been ????  years worth of material.  The answers will be at the end.  Good luck and happy reminiscing!

199? – The  newsletter is first published, BamBam left for Kwaj, Mitchell's tater gun, the Adams Family at the Halloween party, and the first Luau

199?-Rhonda's birthday party at the airport,  the beautiful weather at Fall Creek Falls,  having to add a table at the Thanksgiving dinner,  Allen missed the dinner portion of the semi-progressive Progressive Dinner.

199? -- The tax partiers were on the news, horseback riding and rafting weekend,  foot-washin', snake-handlin', speakin'-in-tongues devo, and a videoteleconference all the way to Kwaj.

199?- The newsletter debuts on the internet,  Brenda's apple julep at the Luau,  Mary, Joseph, and the donkey at the Halloween party,  "Wan and Brenda" at the Halloween party,  Victor and Kristie's secret engagement and wedding.

199? -- Wan became our ministry leader,  Jeff the Fairy Princess, Brent moved to Boston for six months, and BamBam was our surprise guest at the Progressive Dinner.

199?- The devo at the Thomas',  Fourth of July fireworks, daring "rescues" at the retreat at Doublehead,  Kristie's "mystery single" articles in the newsletters, we ended the year with the fireworks at Caneta's--man, was it cold!!

199? --"On the Road" devo, retreat in Gatlinburg, Brenda's surprise birthday party, those huge outings to see Independence Day and the Braves, performing a skit at the church’s annual Holiday Dinner.
